Invoking Necromancy

"I am a beacon of knowledge, blazing out across a black sea of ignorance!"

After observing that his two Forge Spirits hadn't been performing at the level he wanted, Invoker decided to call upon a spell that he had never truly forgotten; Dirgal's Undying Marionettes (or D.U.M). Not wanting to leave anything to chance, Invoker brought along his soon to be replaced Forge Spirits to an ancient burial ground used mostly by mages and warriors that specialized in mana-based fighting styles.

A few moments after his invokation, the ground stirred, bodies of all stages of decomposition rose up to face their new master. By attacking him.

Not fully understanding why or how, the Forge Spirits sensed that their master was in danger and began to burn the the masses that were now pouring out of the shallow graves and unlocked crypts. After a battle that could only be described as "brutal", the twin Spirits hovered over the charred remains of the zombies in victory, despite being horribly outnumbered.

Invoker smiled to himself, beckoning the Forge Spirits to accompany him as they walked off into the night. He was pleased and slightly surprised, he hadn't expected both Spirits to survive his staged assault, but, they had proven to him that two dimwitted Forge Spirits were more effective than an army of undead puppets.
